Tourism, Events and Visitor Manager
We are looking to recruit an important new member of the team to assist with the planned growth of the business over the next 12 months.
The nature of the role requires someone who is highly motivated and organised, with great interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with all members of the public.
The post is part-funded by HIE and candidates should have graduated within the last 4 years. The minimum qualification accepted will be an HNC, but preferably an HND, degree or postgraduate degree in a related subject.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- the running and promotion of the new gin school
- creating, implementing and promoting new events at the gin school, distillery and café – for example small weddings, guided walks, afternoon themed ‘gin teas’, gin pinics etc.
- promoting and enhancing existing tours
- creating, implementing and promoting new residential events in conjunction with the new eco-bothy development planned for the estate. This will include weekend gin schools, a pop-up ‘gin hotel’, art courses, foraging and wildlife courses, etc.
The role is full-time – 37.5 hours per week – with normal working hours Monday to Friday – 9am to 5.30pm. This is a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months, with the intention that a permanent position be created through the hard work of the successful candidate
The role attracts a salary of between £22,000 and £28,000 subject to experience.
