In celebration of our first Beinn an Tuirc Halloween, we spent a very pleasant morning designing some aptly themed cocktails.
Although we focused on the spooky theme, they all work very well as autumnal cocktails to be enjoyed throughout the season. All use ingredients that are fairly easy to source although I must confess that we did use our own homemade apple syrup and Tracey’s own Rosehip Syrup. Tracey, who hates wasting anything, also made the candied apple peel which is delicious.
Eye Bulger
25ml Kintyre Gin
3tsp Rosehip Syrup
Grape and Juniper eyeballs
Topped up with Fever Tree Mediterranean Tonic
Deadman’s Finger
25ml Kintyre Gin
Ginger ale
Candied apple peel
Slices of fresh apple
Slices of ginger
Halloween Potcheen
25ml Kintyre Gin
10ml Whisky
Freshly squeezed orange
Dash of apple syrup
Dash of honey
Garnish with orange peel
